“I only want that horse!”
Philip sighs.
“Alexander…
I recognise your love for this horse, but
we’re not simply getting you a mere playmate, but the difference
between life and death.
In this regard,
there is no value in a beast
that refuses to be tamed.
Do you understand?”
Alexander glares at his father, defiant,
smirk in his eyes.
“And just like that,
you’re going to give up on a perfectly good horse,
all because he’s strong, and mean, and had the guts
to embarrass you old men? Pfeh!
What a shame.”
The men fall silent at Alexander’s jab,
frozen in shock, unable to reply…
