“Perfect!
Let’s go get it!”
The Servant interjects,
“Oh! But my king, the journey there will be arduous. Challenges abound and your s-”
Alexander snaps his fingers.
“That’s no problem!
Afterall, am I not Alexander –
hegemon of Greece, pharaoh of Egypt, and king of Asia?
Have I not proven I can do anything?”
Alexander smiles with a mixture
of arrogance and unshakeable cheer
and a determined glint in his night-dark eye, as he returns to the darkness of his palace.
“It is settled, Servant.
Prepare our bags.
Tomorrow we rise at dawn,
and travel.”
